MC GRAMMAR

Brief

Kid favourite, MC Grammar is back for a series of music videos celebrating yearly events in the calendar. From Valentines to Bonfire night, the iconic rapper spits bars to educate and entertain, and it was down to RITZY to create the visuals.

Having already established himself on the scene, Monkey Kingdom commissioned us to expand MC Grammar’s repertoire with seven new 4-minute music videos to accompany his existing material.

You can catch our episodes, along with previous series on Sky Kids and NOW TV.

Behind the scenes

First up, we had to map out the full 30 minutes of madness. Once MC Grammar handed over the lyrics, our team got stuck into storyboarding for an intense two day greenscreen shoot. MC Grammar probably squeezed in 20 wardrobe changes, and honestly, it only made things more entertaining.

With the edit in the bag, the animation team went full throttle - whipping up backgrounds, props, characters, and transitions to make the songs jump off the screen.
