NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

Brief

A hype animation we created with our friends at Bleacher Report to celebrate the launch of the Euro 2024 tournament.

Inspired by Night at the Museum, a mysterious glow pulses through a Euro museum bringing the statues to life and unleashing them on a hunt for the trophy!

From script to final picture in just 6 weeks, this 60 second film was a full throttle production which helped generate some serious hype for the tournament.

Behind The Scenes

With such a fast turnaround, we had to use every trick in the RITZY handbook to create several stone-faced footballers and an expansive museum for them to run around in.

Thankfully, our new pipeline turned complex and laborious tasks into the click of a button. We were able to put different heads on the same body, swap a few kit/skin textures, and suddenly we had a believable team of 8 stars. Shhhh don’t tell anyone.

Our animators then faced the enormous task of churning out a full minute of animation in just a two weeks. Cue another clever shortcut - motion capture! We used a treadmill to replicate runs by Ronaldo and Mbappe and a glove to animate the head of a horse. We really do love our job.
