What happens when the FIFA president takes an unexpected trip to the large hadron collider? The CLUB WORLD CUP is born!!

A mad little 2D animation we crafted for Bleacher Report to create some hype around the tournament.

Behind the scenes

With a lightning-fast turnaround of just 3-4 weeks 18 characters (yes, 18!) to design, rig and animate, we needed to hit the ground running!

A decision was made early on to use edited photos for backgrounds, cutting and stitching various images together to create the perfect sets. For the 2D character animation, we blended Moho puppets for the cycles and frame-by-frame for the bespoke movements - clever eh?

The final film was released on Youtube and Instagram, racking up a heavy view count and generating plenty of hype for the tournament.
