Brief
To help shout about the launch of Alba, a game by ustwogames, we teamed up with the brilliant folk at Maverick Media to create a catchy music video called “YOU GOT THIS!”
Alba: A Wildlife Adventure isn’t just a beautiful game - it’s a positive story with an environmental mission we couldn’t resist. For every copy sold, a tree gets planted. (Yes, actual trees. You’re welcome, planet Earth.)
Working hand in hand with the Maverick crew, we gave the low-poly assets a bit of a glow-up to craft this fun, feel-good video that’s as charming as the game itself.

Behind the scenes
To kick things off the team at Maverick partnered up with Sister Music to compose a tune about deforestation that hit all the right notes. It needed to be a catchy call-to-action that inspired listeners to do their bit while sneaking in some funny character cameo’s.
The result? 'Si Si Si' - a fantastic track composed by Neighbourhood Jukebox and brought to life by the amazing ANI (Ani De Los Reyes).
With the song nailed, it was time to get visual. The Lion King’s ‘I Just Can’t Wait to Be King’ was thrown in early on as a reference for its punchy colours and bold, abstract style, something we were all over. Storyboards were drafted, colour keys painted, and the music video began to take shape.
Next up: world-building. It was important we maintained the look and feel of the in-game assets but increased the resolution to something more triple A. We opted for angular, carved designs that echoed the original low-poly characters, but with added detail. Combined with painterly textures and beautiful background mattes, the art direction really popped!
